The medium sized, round fruit with a moderately tough golden skin has a firm orange flesh. Its tangy flavor is great for fresh use, freezing, canning or for baby food processing. Goldcot is an excellent variety for most nothern climates because it is both self-fruitful and hardy. Goldcot is more resistant to bacteria spot and canker. Cold hardy to zone 4.
